Beat the freeze.ie was established in November 2011 to address the problem of freezing pipes in homes and businesses in Ireland and looking at alternative solutions. Our ambition is to provide a solution for the Irish public to avoid such scenarios which occurred in the winter of 2010.

The big freeze affected us all, whether it was from frozen water tanks and pipes in our attics to frozen pipes inside and outside our homes. People with vacant properties were particularly vulnerable. There were so many insurance claims from these properties that the insurance companies have changed their terms for these premises.

Unfortunately, due to the fluctuating nature of our climate in recent times, it is probably only a matter of time before we experience another big freeze. Next time, let’s be ready. We believe that by incorporating our products into your home and by taking our advice, you can “beat the freeze”.
